Dancing and music has always been a part of Jeff’s life, being a fan of Michael Jackson since he started walking! Coming from Hip-Hop dancing background, the transition to Latin dancing might seem odd to the public but actually it made perfect sense. His journey started back in 2010, when he discovered Cuban Salsa and shortly after Bachata through Cuban Salsa Ireland. And Alex has always dreamt of becoming a dancer since childhood. Her journey started back in 2009, learning Salsa and Bachata through Josh’s Salsa school and Cuban Salsa Ireland. Alongside her dance passion Alex is also a qualified fitness and Zumba instructor!
In 2012 they’ve partnered up and won the Irish Junior Bachata Open. Since then the passion for Latin rhythms keep growing and they’ve been invited by a local dance school in Dublin as panel teachers. In the recent years they have also played a part in growing Kizomba dance in Dublin.
Together they have travelled all over the world following their dance passion, participating and competing in international congresses and continuously learning the rich diversity of Latin culture. They have dedicated their time in sharing their dance knowledge and passion in Dublin through teaching and contributing to social dancing community.
Having recently tied the knot, both Jeff & Alex now independently run and direct Dublin Touch, which is a Bachata dance team that is part of Island Touch family and is taught choreographies created by world famous Ataca & La Alemana.
